I was abandoned, attacked, set-up and robbed on this day
by someone I never knew I had to repay.
Vile words emblazoned on the drum
of this unnecessary conundrum.
Screams and threats were sated
she though I’d hate the longer I waited–
Time will tell
how humans always fail
to uncover the deceit of “me”
even while praying, down on bended knee.
