leave it on the floor

concave mind

mirror and time

reflect the shatters

of all that ever mattered

honey so subtle

left my tongue muddled

with poison and envy

once you finally left me

for him

on a whim

you took my life

now I’m filled with strife

a knife at my throat

and this was all I wrote:

you loved me and left me

taking the best part of me

there’s no repairing my heart

here, I’ll be found, left in the dark.
